NSF Project Pitch
Also called: NSF SBIR Project Pitch
A short online summary a company must submit to NSF's SBIR/STTR program, and have accepted, before NSF will invite it to submit a full Phase I proposal.
NSF requires a Project Pitch before a Phase I proposal. If the pitch fits the program, NSF sends an official invitation to submit a full proposal, and the invitation is valid for the next two submission deadlines.
The pitch covers four parts: the technology innovation, the technical objectives and challenges, the market opportunity, and the company and team.
NSF limits how often you can pitch: one pitch per submission window, only one under review at a time, and caps per company per year and per technology. Check the current limits before submitting.
